Operation Participation

Martha’s Table (MT) is a D.C.-based nonprofit that has supported Washingtonians on both sides of the Anacostia River for over 40 years. Through access to healthy food, accredited education and health services, MT promotes long-term family success.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, MT received a surge of donations from across the country to aid underserved communities hit hardest by the crisis. By Spring 2021, MT partnered with American University’s graduating public relations class to develop a strategic donor retention campaign aimed at sustaining momentum and deepening donor engagement.

Working closely with MT leadership, our student agency, Metro Treehouse, developed and pitched an end-to-end retention campaign rooted in donor insights and built around multi-channel engagement.
